Opinions for Hire. Security analysts aren't the only ones whose integrity is being questioned. In this column in the Wall Street Journal, Lee Gomes uses the Aberdeen Group as an example of technology analysts who write whitepapers for their clients and don't distinguish these works for hire from objective opinion. Whitepapers can pay the bills, but you've got to practice full disclosure.
