Doug Kaye's thoughts on web services, web hosting and managed services.

When I grew up in the '50s and early '60s, I was taught that the U.S. would never attack another country unless the other country first attacked us or one of our allies. Even in the case of the evil Soviet Union, we were prepared to defend ourselves, but we would never strike first. I always liked that. I was proud of my country.
I find it very painful that after 50 years, suddenly I can no longer say that. When I communicate with friends, associates, and strangers in other countries, I'm now embarrassed to be an American. How sad.

Web-Services Startups More than 100 web services startups are profiled in a new report compiled by Deloitte & Touche Corporate Finance. This is the most thorough coverage I've seen of early-stage companies in this niche. Thanks to an arrangement between D&T and Phil Wainewright, you can download the printable PDF through Phil's web site, LooselyCoupled.com.
