CNET Down for a Two-Day Move. Because web-hosting vendor (MFN) recently filed for bankruptcy protection and closed its San Fracisco data center, CNET has to move everything to an AT&T site. They'll be down from the evening of July 5 through July 7. Another example of why my clients are using stability as the #1 criterion in a vendor search. [Source: The Web Host Industry Review]

Ellison on the Hype. "The idea that Oracle is going to put a web services interface on its applications, and [that] Siebel is going to do that, and that that's going to make it easier for you to connect Oracle to SAP, or Siebel to SAP, that's just the most ridiculous thing I've heard in my entire life."
