Exodus: 20-20 Hindsight. CBS Marketwatch has a short summary of the investor message board discussions regarding Exodus' problems. One comment I find more appropriate than others:
It would look better for EXDS to fill those vacated seats with someone from Bank of America or Citicorp or a heavy hitter from the tech sector. Their current board appears to be venture capitalists.
I have nothing against venture capitalists. Some of my best clients are venture capitalists. But I, too, was shocked to see that the Exodus board consisted primarily of VCs. By their very nature, VCs are optimists, and it's clear that someone continued on the expansion path for far too long. I've been there. The get-big-fast (GBF) mandate is symptomatic of the VC mentality. It only works while the balloon is still filling. This is a lesson to us all as we manage our own businesses.

hello world Exodus' Exodus Explained? Thor Valdmanis and Jon Swartz (the very same) of USA TODAY report:
Cash-strapped Exodus Communications said Wednesday that it is open to takeover offers after three board members abruptly quit the Web-hosting pioneer for "personal reasons."
...people close to the situation say company directors Thadeus Mocarski, Mark Dubovoy and Naomi Seligman decided to defect after losing an intense debate about the future of Exodus.
