Possible Loves. Entitled Amores Possiveis in Portugese, this Brazillian romantic comedy is one of those "what might have happened?" stories. The twist? We see three different what-if scenarios, intercut.
While much of the acting was first rate, the script was moderately predictable. Some too-common situations: man leaves wife for another man; man still lives at home and has trouble finding the girl who's as good as mom; and man marries but never forgets his first love.
The actress who plays Julia is superb. So is Carlos' mother. My wife gave it a full thumbs up. I give it only a conditional thumbs up.
